How Does NACRAO Work?

Board of Directors – NACRAO is governed by an elected Board of Directors. This group includes the following officers:

  • President  
  • President Elect
  • Past-President 
  • Vice-President for Communications
  • Vice-President for Education and Professional Development
  • Vice-President for Membership
  • Vice-President for Technology 
  • Treasurer
  • Secretary

Membership - NACRAO yearly membership is required in order to attend any NACRAO affiliated events. NACRAO has three types of membership:

  • Institutional
  • Affiliate
  • Honorary

Committees – NACRAO encourages all members to serve on a standing or ad-hoc committees that help plan and facilitate the forward movement of the organization.  Participation on committees allows individuals to experience personal and professional growth. Committees include:

  • College and Transfer Fairs Planning Committee
  • Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging (DEIB)
  • Local Arrangement Committee (LAC)
  • Member Services Committee
  • Nominations and Elections Committee
  • Admissions:  Professional Development Committee
  • Registrars:  Professional Development Committee
  • Recognition Committee
  • Technology and Social Media Committee

Awards - NACRAO has 5 awards to give out each year to deserving members and friends of NACRAO. The recipients of these awards show dedicated service to their institution, to the NACRAO organization, professionalism, and leadership. The awards are as follows:
